Common Questions

    1. Who is this trip suitable for?

If you’re adventurous, open-minded, and excited to immerse in a new culture, this is the trip for you! Also if,

    1. You want to visit Peru without having to plan

    2. You have an open heart to meet people from different walks of life and go with the flow

    3. You want to experience trekking in the Andean Mountains and see one of the wonders of the world

This trip is NOTfor you if you

    • You are extremely risk-averse – We do our best to assess the risk and only work with vendors with years of experience and a good track record. However, as the tour involves adventurous outdoor activities, we are at the mercy of the weather, the terrain, and unpredictable accidents. If this scares you, this might not be the right trip for you.

    • You avoid physical activity – If a short flight of stairs leaves you breathless, you might struggle with the hikes and active nature of this trip. A basic level of fitness is required to fully enjoy the experience.

    • You struggle with unpredictability – Plans may shift due to weather or local conditions. If last-minute changes stress you out, this trip may be frustrating for you.

    • You have a ‘customer is always right’ mindset – We do our best to provide an amazing experience, but nature and logistics don’t always cooperate. The priority of our local guides is safety, and our team will not hesitate to take anyone out of the tour if the need arises.

  • We recommend flying Qatar. The current flight prices and timings are:

Please do not book your flights until we have confirmed that the trip has hit the minimum number of participants and is a confirmed departure.

  • Flights recommendations will be sent out, but are not included in the package. This gives you the flexibility to plan if you’d like to extend your trip before or after joining us! However please note that the flight transfers to the hotels will not be included if you do not take the recommended flights.

Domestic flights from Lima to Cusco are not included. If you would like us to book it for you, we charge an additional S$50 admin fee per flight (S$100 for return flight) on top of whatever your flight costs at the time of booking. Once again, please note that the flight transfers to the hotels will not be included if you do not take the recommended flights.

  • It’s no walk in the park, but definitely possible for beginners or first-time multi-day hikers if you train for it. There will be long hours of uphill hiking and we’ll reach high altitudes of up to 4,650m in the trek. Having a moderate level of fitness will definitely make your experience more enjoyable. You should be comfortable walking 6-8hrs a day with a 5kg load. We’ll be hosting an optional (but highly encouraged) training hike and will share a training programme before the start of the expedition to ensure a base fitness level for all participants!

  • In the mountains, day temperatures range from 15-25C, and the nights drop to 0-10C. The temperatures vary depending upon the altitude, wind and other weather conditions, so it’s still important to bring layers to stay warm.

  • In the cities, indulge in comfort in modern hotels with cozy twin-sharing rooms. In the mountains, we will be in glass domes with beds and power outlets. Each of the glass domes are equipped with its own en-suite toilet and gas-powered hot shower, except for the first night’s.

  • If you take the recommended flights, we will meet at Changi airport! If not, we will meet you at Peru.

  • Minimum will be 12, maximum 18

  • Trips to interesting and unique destinations are more fun with a big group! But not everyone has friends that are willing to jump onto an adventure at a moments notice. There’s also safety in numbers, and our team on the ground will lookout for each and every one of you 🙂
